Special paint effects and hand guilding.
Here are a few examples of frames that I have made. I use bare wood moulding which can be finished in a number of ways with:
1) Dutch metal / real gold leaf / silver or aluminium leaf.
2) Paint effects/ layers of different colours which are distressed to reveal the underneath layers or bole colour.(clay layer)
3) Paint applied in various ways for other effects-such as splattering.
My frames are created to enhance the image rather than detract from or overpower it. Various styles of moulding are used such as spoon, reverse bevel, cushion, hockey stick.
I offer a bespoke service for the framing of my paintings, work by other artists, needleworkers, photographers & various other media. Almost anything can be framed.
